Deepu joined IRST / Allegion in January 2011 as Technical Support Coordinator to support the biometric business. The objective of his role was to facilitate Handreader repairs. Prior to his joining, these repairs were routed through UK office which resulted in a long wait for customers. As part of his initial training, he was trained at the Schlage factory Colorado Spring. He has designed and developed a complete RMA tracking/invoicing & inventory application to facilitate hand reader repairs and the Dubai repairs center is still running on this application. IRST/Allegion recognized this effort by giving him the Shine Award for Operational Excellence in 2012.
When the Dubai team gradually expanded and added all electronic products to their portfolio, he took charge as the Technical Support Manager in Nov 2013, for Electronic Access Control & Hospitality. It was pretty challenging but he was able to manage by himself all Electronic product support, project designing and implementation for customers. Deepu was always very interested to get to know the details of products from Schlage, CISA, AptiQ, PegaSys etc. and the Allegion family supported him to do that. He is a Software engineer at heart and prior to join IRST/ Allegion, all his experience was related to IT / Software. To add to his skillset he decided to join a MBA – Information Systems course and study part time which he could complete in 2 years in 2015.
When the new ERP system implementation was announced, he decided to improve his skills since he had a chance to join the IT Team. He joined the Microsoft Dynamics AX course & Certified in AX-Trade & Logistics. These efforts were noticed by his Manager and he redirected Deepu to the IT team. In Nov 2016 he joined the IT team as “IT Business Analyst - EMEIA & Field Support”. What excites him about his current role is that he can use his skillsets in full capacity.
